Elderly Woman Dies After Falling From Height in Poonch Forests

Poonch, Jun 17 : A 50-year-old woman has died after falling from a height in Pushana forest area along Mughal Road in Surankote in Poonch district of Jammu division.

Reports reaching GNS said that one Sabza Begum wife of Chand Mohammad, resident of Swari in tehsil Kotranka in Rajouri district was on way towards her Dhoke (mud-house) in Nagasar in Peer Ki Gali area. Soon after reaching Pushana, falling along Mughal Road, the elderly woman lost balance and slipped down from a height, resulting in her on spot death.

Confirming the incident, Incharge Police Post Behramgala, ASI Mohammad Rafiq told GNS that the body was recovered by a team from the spot and later on handed over to the family for last rites after completion of necessary medico-legal formalities. (GNS)
