Gunmen shot dead BJP leader in Tral, lady injured

Tral, June 2,: Unknown gunmen shot at a BJP leader in South Kashmir’s Tral town of Pulwama district this evening.
Reports said that gunmen fired upon a BJP leader at a point-blank range. He has been shifted to hospital in critical condition where doctors declared him brought dead.
Sources identified the victim as Rakesh Pandit son of Brij Nath Pandit.
Local sources added that Rakesh Pandit was present in the house of his neighbour when gunmen shot at him. A lady has also sustained bullet injury in her leg.
The deceased was President Municipal Committee Tral.
Area has been cordoned off and search operation has been launched to nab the attackers. (KNT)
