India reports 62,258 new COVID-19 cases

New Delhi, Mar 27  India on Saturday registered a record 62,258 new cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, pushing the country caseload to 1,12,95023.

The country witnessed 291 deaths, mounting the death toll to 1,60,949, as per the Union health ministry update on Saturday morning.

The active cases rose by 30,386 to stand at 4,52,647. It is now 3.80 per cent of the total caseload.
