LS adjourned till 1300 hrs over BJP MP’s death

New Delhi, Mar 17 : Lok Sabha was adjourned for two hours till 1300 hrs on Wednesday after condoling the demise of sitting member from Mandi Ram Swaroop Sharma and former MP Manohar Lal Saini.

Sixty-two-year-old Sharma, who passed away this morning, was the BJP MP from Mandi of the present Lok Sabha.

The House also condoled the demise of former member Manohar Lal Saini who was a two-time MP.

He was the member of the 6th and 7th Lok Sabha and died at the age of 81 on March 8 in Delhi.

As soon as the House assembled at 1100 hrs, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla read out the obituary references.

Later, the House observed a two-minute silence to pay homage to the departed souls.

After the House paid tributes to the departed souls, the Speaker adjourned the House till 1300 hrs.

Sharma was found dead at his North Avenue residence here on Wednesday, police said.
