Kangana moves SC seeking transfer of cases from Mumbai

New Delhi, Mar 3:  Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, along with her sister Rangoli Chandel, on Tuesday approached the Supreme Court seeking transfer of cases pending against them in various Mumbai courts to Shimla in Himachal Pradesh.
In a plea filed through Advocate Neeraj Shekhar, the duo contended that they face a threat to life if the trials proceed in Mumbai, because of ‘personal vendetta’ of Shiv Sena leaders against them.
The plea also referred the incident related to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation demolishing a part of Ranaut’s Pali Hill bungalow.
After facing multiple cases against them, the sisters had moved the Bombay High Court seeking dismissal of the FIRs.
The fresh move of the duo seeking transfer of all three cases to their native state Himachal Pradesh comes following opposition from the complainants in the case.
However, the listing of the case is yet to be notified.
