Sensex crashes over 1200 pts

Mumbai, Feb 26 : The BSE Sensex on Friday crashed by 1202 pts at 49,837.19 as heavy selling was seen in Industrials, IT and Telecom stocks.
The Nifty lost by 357 pts to 14,739.95.
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 50,400.31 and 49,781.90 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,919.45 and 14,729.25 respectively.
The Mid Cap fell by 1.16 pc and the Small Cap by 0.58 pc.
In 30 scrips 3 advanced while 27 declined.
The losers were Indusind Bank by 4.50 pc to Rs 1059.85, Bajaj Finserv by 4.20 pc to Rs 9831.70, ICICI Bank by 4.05 pc to Rs 602.50 and Axis Bank by 4 pc to Rs 739.95.
The gainers were Sun Pharma by 1.34 pc to Rs 617.90, Dr Reddy by 1.07 pc to Rs 4527, Ultracemco by 0.96 pc to Rs 6462.50 and Maruti Suzuki by 0.28 pc to Rs 6946.50.
