Panic in Narbal after trooper’s rifle goes off

Srinagar, Dec 7, KNT: Panic was created in Narbal area of Srinagar outskirts when the service rifle of a trooper went off accidently.

Sources told KNT that civilian sustained injuries during the stampede, however, official sourced didn’t confirm the development.

Sources said that the service rifle of a CRPF man from E-Coy 73 Battalion deployed on Road Opening Party at Narbal went off accidently. People in market took the gunshot as militant attack.

Sources added that a civilian suffered injuries during stampede.

A police official feigned ignorance about the incident. (KNT)
