DDC Elections: Over 5 per cent Voting Recorded in Three Polling Stations in Rawalpora till 10 am

Srinagar 28 November (KNB): Over 5 per cent voting has been recorded in three polling stations on Saturday for District Development Council elections in Rawalpora Srinagar district.

Kashmir News Bureau reports confirmed that three polling stations of ward 14 Rawalpora C have recorded 5.43 per cent votes till 10 am.

In Ward 14 Rawalpora C, Polling station 3 total number of votes is 934 and the votes casted till 10 am are 39, among which 31 are male and 8 are female. In polling station 5E the total number of votes is 911 and the votes casted till 10 am are 100 among which 71 are male and 29 are female.
Whereas in polling station 6F total number of votes is 823 and only 10 votes have been casted till 10 am.

Pertinently, for the first phase of DDC elections, Gurez, Tulail and Sumbal panchayat blocks went to polls today.

An official said that Sumbal block has so far recorded the highest polling percentage at 6. 71 per cent till 9 am, while Tulail block recorded 1. 57 per cent and Gurez 2. 31 per cent.
“The overall percentage in three blocks till 9 am stands at 3. 72 percent,” he said.

He said that 835 voters have cast their votes in Sumbal block while 143 electors in Tulail and 232 electors in Gurez block have cast their votes so far. (KNB)
