SC express concern over COVID situation, asks all states to file status reports

New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) Expressing its concern over COVID situation in Delhi and other states, the Supreme Court on Monday sought status reports from all states in two days over the spike in coronavirus cases.

A three-judge bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, R Subash Reddy and MP Shah, while taking suo motu cognisance, said that the corona cases are rising rapidly across the country and added that the situation in the National Capital has worsened during the past two weeks.

The bench further said that in view of the rising corona case, all the states are directed to file fresh status reports related to the corona infection and the measures taken for it.

During the hearing, Justice Bhushan asked the Delhi government how it was handling the situation and how the corona infected patients were being treated?
