3 Militants, associate killed in Kulgam buried at Sheeri Baramulla

Srinagar, April 28 (GNS): Three militants and their aide, killed in separate gunfights in Kulgam district of south Kashmir were buried in Sheeri area of Baramulla district last night, officials said on Tuesday.

Reports reaching GNS said that three TRF militants who were killed in Lower Munda encounter were identified as Asif Majeed Dar of Kakpora, Bilal Ahmad Wagay of Panzgam and Parvez Ahmad of Anantnag.

The militant associate namely, Aqib Mushtaq Lone was killed in a gunfight at Guddar.

All the four slain were taken to PCR Kashmir yesterday and were later shifted to Sheeri Baramulla for burial.

A police officer told GNS that all the four slain were buried in presence of the family members and concerned magistrate.

“Five of our family members including my parents and my two sisters were allowed to see the face and male members attend the funeral of Aqib,” Asif, elder brother of slain Aqib told Global News Service.

Aqib was laid to rest at around 10:30 pm and “later we returned back to our home,” Aqib said.

According to Asif, Aqib had completed his 8th semester of B.Tec Civil and was supposed to submit the project file. “Had there been no lockdown, he would have been in college,” he added.

The officer further said that the three militants who were killed at Lower Munda were associated with TRF and according to him it is an outfit of Lashkar-e-Toiba
