Dy Mayor visits Achan landfill site, interacts with locals

Assures fulfillment of their genuine demands

SRINAGAR, APRIL 13: Deputy Mayor, Parvaiz Ahmed Qadri, today visited Achan dumping site immediately after the locals stopped vehicles, carrying solid waste, from entering the area and dumping waste there.

The Deputy Mayor interacted with the locals, who informed him about the issues faced by the people living in the area. They put forward demands including use of additional chemical spray to mitigate the odor caused by the waste, being dumped there, on daily basis.

He gave them patient hearing and assured of redressal of all their grievances and fulfillment of genuine demands in a time bound manner.

On the occasion, Qadri entered the landfill site premises and took first hand appraisal of the sanitation works being carried by the corporation.
