BSE Sensex gains over 100 points

Mumbai, :  The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensex rallied over 100 points on Thursday while Investors will keep a close eye on the Economic Survey which will be tabled in Parliament later in the day. The Union Budget will be presented tomorrow.
The Sensex of the BSE opened at 39,917.65 and then touched a high of 39,976.53 and a low of 39,858.33.
The Sensex is trading at 39943.51 down by 104.26 points from Wednesday’s close at 39839.25.
On the other hand, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 11,928.80 after closing at 11,916.75 on Wednesday.
The Nifty is trading at 11,955.55 points Thursday morning.
Top gainers in the Sensex pack in early trade included IndusIndbank, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Bank, YesBank, Sbin, and Asian Paint, while HCL tech, M&M, ITC, Sun Pharma and NTPC were among the losers, shedding up to 0.78 per cent.
Investors are awaiting for the budget as the government could announce measures to ease liquidity and prop up demand in the slowing economy.
