BJP MLAs and MPS to stage protest dharna against Govt

Yadagir, :  Charging that the state government is seems to be in deep slumber, the State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president B S Yeddyurappa, has threatened to stage dharna in front of Vidhana Soudha in the next two days.
Addressing newsmen, during his drought-inspection tour here on Sunday, the BJP leader had accused that the administration in the state had totally collapsed and people of the state were left in lurch.
Informing that during his interaction with the people of the Yadagir district, it was revealed that the state government had not released any of the social security funds, he said that “Thousands of old-age people and distressed were waiting in vain to receive the pension”.
“In this region, there is severe shortage of drinking water, the pure drinking dispensing units are not functioning and people were not paid for the work done under the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme”.
While urging the state government to take immediate actions to address the grievances of the people of the drought affected areas, he said that “In a day or two all the MLAs and MPs belonging to BJP will stage dharna to awaken the government”.
Referring to the Chief minister’s plan to go for Village stay, the BJP leader criticised it as a ‘gimmick’ and will not help the people.
“If chief minister has a real concern for the welfare of the people, he should tour the state and plug the loopholes” he said.
