Modi meets Sri Lankan President, Mauritius PM: Holds bilateral parleys

New Delhi, :  Continuing with his diplomatic engagements, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday held meetings with Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth and Sri Lankan President
Maithripala Sirisena.
“A personal connect. Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Jugnauth had a good meeting with PM Narendra Modi. Exchanged views on a range of bilateral issues, including development cooperation,” MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
Mr Jugnauth was the Chief Guest at the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas earlier this year.
In another missive, MEA spokesman wrote: “Hitting the ground running. In the first of a series of bilateral meetings with foreign leaders lined up today, PM Narendra Modi had a warm meeting with the President of Sri Lanka at Hyderabad House. Discussed bilateral issues of interest”.
BIMSTEC nation and government heads were invited to attend the swearing in ceremony of Prime Minister and his council of Ministers on Thursday.
