Jammu, : Army on Monday diffused an improvised explosive device on Jammu-Poonch national Highway in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“An IED was detected this morning by the road opening party of Army during patrolling in Kallar village of Chingus,” official sources here said.
They said that bomb disposal squad was immediately rushed to the spot to diffuse it.
“Army has stopped movement of traffic after detecting an IED,” they added.
The squad diffused the device by blasting it on the spot and prevented a major tragedy.
Traffic however, was resumed later.
