Rajnath speaks to Assam CM over Guwahati blast

New Delhi, : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday spoke to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal regarding the grenade blast in Guwahati blast on Wednesday evening that injured 12 people.
The Chief Minister apprised Mr Singh of the current situation.
Police and other agencies are investigating the incident, a senior Home Ministry official said here.
Mr Singh prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured persons.
Assam CM Sonowal has ordered the state police chief to conduct an inquiry in to the incident.
Security has been stepped up in the city after the incident.
The Assam CM is likely to chair a high-level security meeting in Guwahati later in the day to access the overall security scenario in the state.
Top officials in the state security set up and state home department officials will attend the meeting.
