What has Modi done for the jobless, asks Rahul

Neemuch, MP, :  Continuing his diatribe against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi resorted to sarcasm on Tuesday by quipping that the Premier taught the country how to consume mangoes but should now speak on what he accomplished for various segments, especially the unemployed, over the past half a decade.
“The Prime Minister explained how he peels the fruit prior to eating the same. He possesses half-sleeve kurtas so that there will be more space in the‘suitcase’,” the visiting politician averred while addressing an election rally here.
At the commencement of his approximately half-an-hour-long speech, Mr Gandhi asked those assembled as to what mood they are in, made the gathering raise the controversial chowkidar-related slogan and claimed that through this medium he gauges the party workers’ disposition.
In the context of the Premier’s alleged statement vis-a-vis cloud cover helping prevent Indian Air Force planes from being detected by Pakistani radar during the surgical strike, the Congress top boss queried, “When the weather becomes bad do all planes disappear from the sky?”
Turning his gun on erstwhile Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Mr Gandhi named the former’s relatives who had been benefitted by agrarian debt waiver during ongoing Congress tenure. Referring to the Mandsaur firing, which occurred during predecessor Bharatiya Janata Party rule, he accused Mr Modi of not standing alongside distraught cultivators.
“Neemuch boasts a Central Reserve Police Force Centre but in the wake of the Pulwama attack, the Prime Minister did not pay a visit here to give ear to the personnel,” he added.
