FIR registered against BJP candidate after recovery of huge cash

Motihari,  :  An FIR was registered against BJP candidate and outgoing MP from Sheohar Rama Devi after recovery of huge cash from her hotel room at Chhatauni in East Champaran district late last night.
Police said that a named FIR was registered against Rama Devi at Chhatauni police station after recovery of more than Rs. 4.09 lakh from her room at Sheetal Hotel. Sources said the MP had booked the hotel room in her name.
Sources said Income Tax department authorities also participated in the raid leading to recovery of hefty cash.
Meanwhile, Ms Devi said that she had received the cash as donations from her supporters and admirers and there was nothing wrong in it.
Sheohar Lok Sabha constituency will go to poll in the 6th phase of election tomorrow.
