Light magnitude earthquake jolts Mandi in HP

Shimla, : Light magnitude earthquake jolted some parts of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh early on Friday morning which lasted for few seconds, Official sources confirmed.
Shimla Met Office Director Manmohan Singh said that the tremor measuring 4.2 magnitude on the Richter scale hit the Mandi district at 0432 hrs this morning.
The epicenter of earthquake was recorded at Latitude of 31.3 degree North and Longitude of 77 degree East and depth of 10 km in the hilly region.
No loss of life and property reported in the tremor but it awaken the people in morning from sleep as things around them started shaking in the impact.
