Average voter turnout of 12% recorded in Jharkhand in first two hours of polls

Ranchi, : An average voter turnout of 12 per cent has been recorded till 0900hrs on the three Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand — Chatra, Lohardaga(ST) and Palamu (SC)– where voting is currently underway.
Constituency wise the voter turn out at Chatra has been recorded at 12.10 per cent, Lohardaga 11.30 per cent and Palamu 12.38 per cent.
Voting on these three seats which commenced at 0700hrs will continue till 1600hrs.
Barring a few incidents of EVMs were not working in some polling booths of Lohardaga. So far polling has remained peaceful in the state.
