Delhi court extends Yasin Malik’s judicial custody till May 24

New Delhi,  : A Delhi Court on Wednesday extended judicial custody of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yashin Malik in connection with a case related to funding of separatists and terror groups in Jammu and Kashmir.
Malik is facing the charges of murder and kidnapping and being allegedly involved in abducting Rubaiya Sayeed, daughter of the then Union Home Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in 1989 and killing of four Indian Air Force personnel in the early part of 1990.
Special Judge Rakesh Syal, after hearing the plea on behalf of NIApassed an order to extend the judicial custody of Yashin Malik till May, 24 in connection with the case.
The court sought reply from Malik’s counsel on the plea of the jail authorities requesting the court for production of Malik through video conferencing due to security reasons.
