SRINAGAR- Former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir Ms. Mehbooba Mufti on Monday said that “I don’t know if Article 35A is tinkered with nobody here would be left to shoulder the tricolor and I don’t know what flag will people raise then and consequences would be worst than what you have seen since 1947,”
In a Press conference at Srinagar She told “Our relation with rest of the country is defined by Article370. This is the another litmus test for Supreme Court. Any unnecessary fiddling of these articles will undermine and nullify any contract that legitimized J&K’s accession”.
“I am in touch with Omar Abdullah and would want other parties like Congress to form a joint strategy regarding Article 35A and deal with the consequence if it was tinkered with” Mufti said.
“Our identity is under threat so right now my priority is not elections” Mufti said.(KM)
