Lt. Governor paid rich tributes to Ramdhari Singh Dinkar on his Death Anniversary

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha paid rich tributes to national Hindi poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar on his 50th death anniversary. He said that the late Ramdhari Singh was a famous poet in the literary world.

Paying homage to the national poet on Wednesday, the Lt. Governor said in a  post on X: “I paid rich tribute to Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, the famous poet of the Hindi literary world and the national poet, on his death anniversary.

Ramdhari Singh was born on September 23, 1908, in the village of Samaria in Bihar. He was a famous poet and writer of Hindi literature. He wrote nationalist poetry before the independence of the country. Singh was elected to the Rajya Sabha seat three times and was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1959. He died on 24 April 1974.
