JK Admin announces 12-hour daily curfew

No movement without passes. Medical emergencies exempted: Government Spokesman

Srinagar, May 04: As COVID-19 cases continue to rise on a daily basis, the government Monday announced night curfew in all areas of Jammu and Kashmir adding that only people with valid passes will be allowed to move out.

“Prohibitions (Curfew) on movement in ALL areas between 7 PM and 7 AM. No movement without passes. Medical emergencies exempted,” Government Spokesperson Rohit Kansal tweeted on Monday.

The move is similar to the ones taken by Haryana, Karnataka, Assam, and other administrations which too have imposed a 12-hour-curfew.
