Walkout in Rajya Sabha over disinvestment of PSU

New Delhi,: The Rajya Sabha on Monday witnessed an uproar and walk-out when All India Trinamool Congress members raised the issue of their notice on the disinvestment of PSUs which was pending before the Chairman for consideration.
As soon as the Special Mention finished in the Upper House, the TMC lawmakers stood at their seats and Shukhendu Shekhar Roy asked the chair about the ‘notice on disinvestment of PSU’.
Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said that the matter was still under consideration of the Chair.
The AITC members were not satisfied with Mr Naidu’s reply and rushed to the well and started raising slogan in support of their demand.
When the Chair did not listen to them, the agitated members staged a walk-out of the House as mark of
protest.
