SpiceJet to induct 5 Q400 aircraft in fleet

New Delhi, Apr 16  : Private airline SpiceJet would induct five 90-seater Bombardier Q400s in its fleet, the airline announced on Tuesday.
Out of five, three aircraft would be inducted within next 10 days while the rest would be part of the airline by June, the airline said here.
With the new induction, the Q400 fleet size will increase to 32, it added.
SpiceJet is India’s largest regional operator with 33 daily flights under the regional scheme of UDAN.
Last week also, the airline had said that it would induct 16 Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft on dry lease. The company has also applied to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for a no objection certificate (NOC) to import the aircraft.
