Two seats in Marathwada region to be contested by 43 candidates

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Apr 9  : A total of 43 candidates will contest the Lok Sabha polls from the two seats of Marathwada region, which goes to polls on April 23 .
The two seats going to polls in the third phase of the Lok Sabha(LS) elections include Aurangabad and Jalna.
The Aurangabad seat has the highest number of contenders with 23 candidates and 20 candidates will contest from Jalna LS constituency.
The collective number of voters enlisted on the respective electoral rolls of these two seats were above 36 lakh and more than 4600 polling booths will be stationed across these seats.
Prominent contenders include BJP state president Rao Saheb Danve from Jalna, Sitting Sena MP Chandrakant Khaire from Aurangabad, Congress Subhash Zambad from Aurangabad, Congress Vilas Autade from Jalna, AIMIM Imtiaz Jaleel from Aurangabad, Subhash Patil of Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksh from Aurangabad ,Harshwardhan Jadhav from Aurangabad.
In 2014 LS polls,the BJP won in the LS constituencies of Jalna and and the Shiv Sena emerged victorious in Aurangabad.
