Work From Home, Skip Gold, Use Swadeshi: PM Modi’s 7-Point Message Goes Viral

Srinagar, May 11: According to media reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday made a series of appeals to citizens during a public gathering in Telangana, urging people to adopt measures aimed at fuel conservation, economic discipline and self-reliance.

Reports said Modi made the remarks on May 10 while addressing a function in Hyderabad/Secunderabad after inaugurating and laying foundation stones of development projects worth around Rs 9,400 crore.

As per media reports, the Prime Minister appealed to people to prioritise work from home wherever possible, reduce petrol and diesel consumption by using public transport and metro services, and avoid foreign travel for one year.

Reports further said he advised citizens to avoid buying gold for one year, reduce the use of cooking oil, and prefer Swadeshi products over foreign goods.

According to reports, Modi also encouraged farmers to reduce dependence on chemical fertilisers and move towards natural farming practices.

The appeals reportedly came amid concerns related to global economic uncertainty, fuel consumption and the need for resource conservation. However, no separate official notification detailing these “seven appeals” has been issued so far.
