
Srinagar, March 28,: A fresh Western Disturbance is poised to impact Jammu and Kashmir, bringing widespread rain and snowfall from late tonight into Sunday morning, according to Kashmir Weather. Higher altitude regions are expected to witness rain and snow activities from late afternoon onwards.
Sunday may see a temporary respite in precipitation during daytime, but another round of showers is expected to commence early Monday and continue throughout the day. Meteorologists have described the system as moderate overall; however, certain pockets may experience intense thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds and isolated hail.
The approaching weather system is likely to cause a sharp drop in daytime temperatures, especially on Monday, with residents advised to take precautions against the sudden cold spell. Weather conditions are expected to gradually improve by Tuesday, bringing relief to the valley.
Authorities have urged people to remain cautious while traveling in hilly areas, and issued warnings for farmers to protect crops from potential damage due to hail and heavy rainfall.
