
NEW DELHI: A representative delegation of the Shia Federation Jammu Province visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi and met with the Iranian Ambassador, during which they handed over collected relief funds. The delegation expressed deep sorrow and sympathy over the reported situation in Iran and reaffirmed full solidarity with the Iranian people.
The delegation stated that they stand with Iran in these difficult circumstances and will continue all possible humanitarian support. On this occasion, the collected relief amount was formally handed over to the Iranian Ambassador, with assurance that it would be forwarded to the relevant authorities.
Earlier, a large-scale relief campaign had been launched in Bathindi, Jammu, in view of the reported conflict situation and damages in Iran. The initiative was jointly led by the Shia Federation Jammu Province and Anjuman Hussaini Bathindi Central Jammu. The campaign was spearheaded by Shia Federation President Ashiq Hussain Khan and Imam and Khateeb Syed Zawar Hussain Jafri. Members of the community participated actively, contributing generous donations, while women also voluntarily donated their personal jewelry for the cause.
In continuation of the same movement, protest demonstrations were also organized from Imam Reza Mosque Bhatindi by the Shia Federation, during which participants raised slogans against the United States and Israel and expressed solidarity with Iran while condemning the alleged aggression.
The delegation included Syed Mukhtar Hussain Jafri, Ashiq Hussain Khan, Syed Zawar Hussain Jafri, Lal Din Mir, Syed Fida Hussain Rizvi, and Abdul Hadi.

In conclusion, the Iranian Ambassador appreciated the humanitarian gesture of the delegation and expressed gratitude, stating that such initiatives further strengthen bonds of brotherhood and solidarity between communities.
