Tehran: Following joint strikes by the United States and Israel, Iran announced a full-scale retaliatory response and fired missiles toward Israel.
According to details, air raid sirens sounded across Israel after the Iranian missile launches. Authorities instructed civilians to take shelter in bunkers following the attacks.
Iranian media reported that more than 30 ballistic missiles were fired toward Israel. Explosions echoed through Tel Aviv, while blasts were also heard in Israel’s northern city of Haifa.
The Israeli military directed residents to immediately move to designated shelters and warned the public against recording or sharing videos of the Iranian missile strikes.
Ibrahim Azizi, head of the National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament, strongly condemned the U.S. and Israeli attacks, warning that the situation could spiral beyond their control.
In a statement posted on social media, Azizi addressed his adversaries directly, saying, “We had already warned you.” He added that they had now embarked on a path whose consequences were no longer within their control.
Meanwhile, speaking to the international news agency Reuters, a senior Iranian official confirmed that Tehran is fully preparing to respond to the attacks.
The Iranian official stated that the aggression by the United States and Israel would be met with an extremely severe and devastating response. He further emphasized that Iran would not tolerate any assault on its sovereignty and that all necessary measures were being taken for retaliation.
It is worth noting that Israel, described as acting in a state of war fervor, carried out the attack on Iran in coordination with the United States. According to reports citing Iranian officials, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was not in Tehran at the time of the strikes but had already been moved to a highly secure and undisclosed location.
