CRPF personnel dies in Kathua, probe underway

Kathua, Feb 10,: A Central Reserve Police Force personnel died under unexplained circumstances in the Hiranagar area of Kathua district on Tuesday, prompting authorities to initiate an investigation.

Officials said the deceased, identified as Prabhu Nath, aged 26, was shifted to a local government hospital after his condition deteriorated and was later referred to Government Medical College Kathua, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Police said legal formalities have been completed and the matter is under investigation to establish the cause and circumstances of the death. Medical and procedural aspects are being examined as part of the inquiry. [KNT]
