Marathwada region reported 605 fresh COVID-19 positive cases

Aurangabad, Feb 24:  The eight districts of Maharashtra’s Marathwada region reported 605 fresh COVID-19 positive cases were detected during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed on Wednesday.
However,the authorities also reported that three deaths were reportred due to the pandemic during the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI show that out of the eight districts of the region are,Nanded district recorded 76 cases and single death followed by Hingoli registered 38 new cases and single death, Osmanabad had 12 new cases and single death ,Aurangabad had 240 cases, Jalna had 117 cases ,Beed had 47 cases, Latur registered 46 new cases, Hingoli had 38 cases and Parbhani had 29 cases.
In view of raising cases night curfew was imposed in Aurangabad and Hingoli district in the region.
As per official data, 6,218 more corona cases and 51 deaths were reported from across the state during the past 24 hours, taking the state’s cumulative case tally to 21,12,312.
Meanwhile, 5,869 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals during the same period across the state, taking the total number of recoveries so far in Maharashtra to 20,05,857.
With this, the state’s recovery rate has now risen to 94.96 per cent and the death rate stands at 2.45 per cent.
According to the health officials, so far, a total of 51,857 patients have succumbed to the disease in the state and more than 53,409 active patients are currently under treatment in Maharashtra.
