NIA Raids Anantnag Hamlet in Pahalgam Attack Probe

Anantnag:The National Investigation Agency on Tuesday conducted searches in Salia village of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district in connection with the investigation into the Pahalgam attack that had resulted in multiple fatalities, particularly tourists.

Well-placed sources said that an NIA team arrived in the village and carried out searches at the residence of an accused as part of the ongoing probe. The operation was conducted to gather evidence and verify information related to the case.

Sources said the searches were carried out peacefully and in accordance with legal procedures. The NIA has been investigating the Pahalgam attack, which had claimed several lives, to identify those involved and trace the wider network linked to the incident.

This is the first search operation after the filing of a charge sheet in this case.

Officials have maintained that the investigation is progressing and further action will be taken based on the findings of the searches and analysis of collected material.
