94 fresh covid-19 cases, half of them travellers; 1 death reported in J&K

Srinagar, Feb 23 : 47 travellers were among 94 fresh covid-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir while one more person died due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.

Among the fresh cases, 22 were from Jammu Division and 72 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total case tally to 126019, they said.

Providing district wise details, the officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 40 cases, Baramulla 8, Budgam 4, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 4, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 4, Ganderbal 0, Kulgam 2, Shopian 3, Jammu 10, Udhampur 8, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 2, Samba 2, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

One more death due to the virus was reported from Kashmir Valley, taking the total fatality count to 1955.

Moreover, they said, 62 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—25 from Jammu Division and 37 from Kashmir.

Out of 126019 cases, 766 are “active Positive”—163 in Jammu and 603 in Kashmir. Also, 123298have recovered while 1955 have died—725 in Jammu division and 1230 in Kashmir Valley
