Railway Wing Seizes Massive Polythene Consignment Loaded from Delhi

Budgam, Dec 12,: The Railway Wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police in coordination with the Pollution Control Board Kashmir seized a major consignment of banned polythene at Budgam Railway Station.
Officials said 698 sacks, each weighing nearly 25 kilograms, were recovered from an incoming parcel train during a joint inspection drive.
The consignment had been loaded in Delhi and was being transported for illegal sale and distribution in Srinagar.
Police said the entire shipment has been seized and further legal action is being initiated in consultation with the Pollution Control Board.
A case has been taken up to identify those involved in the transportation and intended circulation of the banned material.
