Celebrations in Tangmarg as Local Cricketer Secures ₹3 Lakh ISPL Deal

Srinagar, Dec 11,: Tangmarg’s young cricketer Shahid Mir has achieved a notable milestone after being signed by the Bengaluru Strikers for Rs 3 lakh in the Indian Street Premier League. His selection has been hailed as a reward for his consistent performances and dedication to the sport.

Wahigund Tangmarg and several areas of Baramulla witnessed celebrations soon after the news spread, with locals expressing pride in Shahid’s accomplishment.

Family members and supporters said his journey from playing cricket in the bylanes of Tangmarg to joining a professional ISPL franchise has brought recognition to the region.

Authorities and sports enthusiasts also extended their greetings, observing that Shahid’s progress will motivate many aspiring cricketers in Kashmir to pursue the game with renewed confidence. [KNT]
