Technical Fault Sparks Motorcycle Blaze on Boulevard Road

Srinagar, Fri, Dec 5,: A motorcycle caught fire on Boulevard Road near SKICC on Friday, prompting an immediate response from fire and emergency services. Officials said the motorcycle suddenly went up in flames while moving along the busy stretch, forcing commuters to halt as smoke rose from the vehicle.

A fire tender from the nearby station reached the spot quickly and doused the flames before the fire could spread or cause injury. Personnel were seen using extinguishers to cool the vehicle as bystanders watched from a safe distance.

According to the preliminary assessment, the fire appears to have been caused by a technical fault in the motorcycle. The vehicle suffered visible damage, though no injuries were reported in the incident.

A police official told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the motorcycle (JK01AV-9951) was driven by Zeeshan Mudasir Dar, a resident of Wuyen, Pampore.

He said the exact cause will be further examined, but confirmed that the situation was brought under control without any collateral damage. [KNT]
