Unidentified Body Recovered Near JK Bank Headquarters in Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 20,: An unidentified body was recovered on Thursday from an open area behind the JK Bank headquarters in Srinagar. The discovery triggered immediate police action, with a team from the local police station reaching the spot shortly after receiving information from locals.

Officials said the body was found lying behind the bank’s head office building under circumstances that are yet to be established. The area was cordoned off and a preliminary inspection was carried out before the body was shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Police sources said efforts are underway to ascertain the identity of the deceased. Investigators are also examining nearby CCTV footage and speaking to locals to determine how the body reached the location and whether any foul play is involved.
