Srinagar: The Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against two persons accused of deceiving job aspirants by promising them government employment in exchange for money.
The chargesheet, related to FIR No. 19/2023, has been submitted before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kulgam. According to an official statement, the chargesheet has been filed under Sections 419, 420, and 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) against the two accused individuals.
The case originated from a written complaint alleging that the accused had fraudulently collected money from several aspirants under the false assurance of securing them jobs in various government departments. Following the complaint, a preliminary enquiry was initiated at Police Station Special Crime Wing, Crime Branch Kashmir.
During investigation, it prima facie surfaced that the accused had dishonestly induced the complainants with fake promises of employment, thereby obtaining their hard-earned money through deceit. Based on the collected evidence, offences punishable under Sections 419 (cheating by personation), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) RPC were established. The chargesheet was accordingly produced before the competent court for judicial proceedings.
