Budgam, Nov 4,: A nocturnal election rally organized by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Budgam witnessed a surge of emotional support for Member of Parliament Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, as workers and supporters raised slogans in his favour during the gathering.

According to eyewitnesses, the event part of PDP’s ongoing campaign in the Budgam constituency, saw enthusiastic participants chanting pro-Ruhullah slogans that echoed through the venue.
The rally was led by senior PDP leaders Waheed Ur Rehman Para and Iltija Mufti, who addressed the gathering as part of the party’s intensified outreach efforts to garner votes for party candidate Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi.

Party workers, from different parts of Budgam, were seen expressing admiration for Ruhullah Mehdi, calling him a symbol of integrity and strong representation. Locals said the chants created a wave of excitement among the crowd, underscoring the MP’s growing influence within and beyond his constituency.

Notably, Ruhulla has distanced himself from the elections, a move that may hit the support base of the National Conference. [KNT]
