Ganderbal, Sep 10,: Authorities have suspended the licenses of three restaurants in Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district after food samples collected from them were found substandard during laboratory testing.
In-charge Food Inspector Fayaz Ahmad confirmed the suspension to the news agency Kashmir News Trust, stating that samples were lifted from several restaurants in Kangan for routine checks. “The samples were sent to the laboratory and after reports showed irregularities, the licenses of three restaurants were suspended,” he said.
He further added that legal action will be initiated against the concerned establishments under the Food Act.
The restaurants whose licenses have been suspended include Shahi Tehzeeb, Pathan Restaurant, and Bajad Restaurant. [KNT]
