Search Operation Launched in Kathua After Sighting of Armed Suspects

Kathua: Security forces launched a search operation in Juthana area of Rajbagh in Kathua district on Thursday night after locals reported the presence of two suspected armed individuals.

According to official sources, the information was received at around 9:45 p.m., shortly after the suspects were seen at 9:30 p.m. by a local in Jakhol area. The eyewitness claimed that the unidentified persons were dressed in black and were carrying weapons, though no backpacks were noticed.

Police and security forces immediately rushed to the area and cordoned off the locality to trace the suspects.

Searches were continuing when reports last came in, and further details are awaited. [KNT]
