Two non-local labourers injured after fall from height in Srinagar, One critical

Srinagar:Two non-local labourers sustained injuries after falling from a height while at work in the Pantha Chowk area on the outskirts of Srinagar on Wednesday.

Officials told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the injured workers were immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for treatment. They have been identified as Suhail Ali, son of Muhammad Sulaiman Ali, a 23-year-old resident of West Bengal, and Muhammad Ali, son of Rafaqat Islam, aged 24, also from West Bengal.

Doctors at SMHS said that Suhail Ali has sustained serious injuries and remains in critical condition, while Muhammad Ali is reported to be stable.

Local sources said that the duo was engaged in labour work at Pantha Chowk when they accidentally fell from a height. Police have taken note of the incident. [KNT]
