Srinagar : In a compassionate gesture, MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq on Wednesday visited the family of Ali Mohammad Joo of Nabdipora, Zadibal, who lost his life in a recent road accident at Khomeni Chowk, Bemina. Acting on the directions of National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah, the MLA handed over a financial relief of Rs 2 lakh to the bereaved family from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The death of Ali Mohammad Joo, a respected member of the local community, has cast a pall of grief over the area. Expressing solidarity, Tanvir Sadiq assured the family that they were not alone in this painful time and promised that further assistance would soon be facilitated through the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
“No words can ease the pain of this tragic loss,” said Tanvir Sadiq while consoling the mourning relatives. “But we are committed to standing firmly by the family and ensuring that they receive the necessary support.”
Locals of Nabdipora appreciated the prompt visit and the financial support extended by the MLA, stating that such humane gestures reflect true leadership in times of grief and crisis.
The road accident at Khomeni Chowk, Bemina, one of the city’s busiest junctions, has once again raised safety concerns, with residents urging the administration to install better traffic regulation and pedestrian safety mechanisms in the area. [KNT]
