BJYM J&K celebrates CAT decision on Naib Tehsildar recruitment rule at Lal Chowk Srinagar

Srinagar: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Jammu & Kashmir, today celebrated the landmark judgment of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), which stayed the discriminatory rule requiring Urdu language as a mandatory qualification for the post of Naib Tehsildar in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Celebration Program was held at Lal Chowk Srinagar in the Presence of the Chief Guest BJYM UT President Arun Prabhat. BJYM National Executive Member Bilal Parray, BJP District President Srinagar Adv Sheikh Salman & BJYM State Team, District Srinagar team Mark Presence to commemorate this significant development, a Celebration program was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Jammu & Kashmir UT Unit.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from youth activists, BJP activists, and BJYM functionaries from across the region.
In his address, Arun Prabhat lauded the CAT’s decision as a major win for justice, youth empowerment, and equal opportunity. He stated, “By ending the Urdu-only barrier, the Tribunal has opened doors for thousands of capable youth across the UT who were unfairly excluded despite being otherwise eligible. BJYM stands committed to fighting for the rights and dignity of our youth.”
Bilal Parray, in his remarks, commended the efforts of BJYM and BJP in taking this matter to the appropriate legal forums and ensuring justice prevails. “This is a collective victory for all those who believe in fairness, merit, and transparency,” he said.
BJP leaders emphasized that the previous rule was inconsistent with the J&K Official Languages Act, 2020, which recognizes Hindi, Urdu, English, Kashmiri, and Dogri as official languages. They reiterated BJP’s dedication to safeguarding the interests of the youth and ensuring unbiased recruitment processes in the UT.
The program concluded with a pledge by BJYM leaders to continue raising the voice of youth and fighting against any form of injustice or regional discrimination.
