Despite Pahalgam Incident, the Spirit of the Pilgrims Remains Unshaken:Satpal Sharma

Srinagar, July 2: BJP President Satpal Sharma lauded the overwhelming participation in the ongoing Amarnath Yatra, calling it a “powerful display of devotion and unity.” Despite the incident in Pahalgam, the spirit of the pilgrims remains unshaken.

He said that the neighboring country is trying to disturb the peace in Jammu and Kashmir, but they will never succeed. Thousands of pilgrims are joyfully and eagerly moving toward the cave, Sharma said.

Sharma also shared his personal experience of traveling to the site by road with party colleague Vikram Nandwana and other local leaders. “We saw hundreds of people waiting for their turn along the road. The energy and devotion are palpable, he said.

He also said that during a high-level security briefing and a multi-party meeting convened by the Lieutenant Governor to ensure the yatra’s smooth conduct, all parties, regardless of political affiliation, stood united in support of the yatra.

Sharma prayed for peace and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir. “May Lord Shiva’s grace always remain upon the people of India, especially His devotees,” he added.(KNS)
