Srinagar Records Hottest June Night Temperature Ever In History with 25.0 °C,Pahalgam Records 18.8°C

Srinagar, June 25: In an unprecedented weather shift, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 25.0 °C the highest ever in history for the month of June.

Details compiled by Kashmir Weather as per news agency stated that this is the first time in the city’s recorded history that the mercury has remained so high before sunrise. To put this in context, Srinagar’s average daytime temperatures in late May generally hover around this range.

The average daytime temperature for Srinagar currently stands at 29.2 °C, indicating that temperatures typical of summer afternoons are now being witnessed even in the early morning hours.

Similarly, at 18.8°C, Pahalgam again breaks the record, registers the highest ever minimum temperature in June.

From past three weeks Jammu and Kashmir experienced severe heatwave forcing government to announce early summer vacations in Schools and Colleges across J&K.
