Iran Proved Strength Comes from Faith, Not Nukes: Mehbooba Mufti

Srinagar June 24: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti praised Iran for standing firm against global superpowers without relying on nuclear weapons. She said Iran’s unwavering stance, rooted in sacrifice and conviction, has earned it newfound respect across the Islamic world.

“Iran has shown the world that true power doesn’t come from nuclear weapons, but from resilience, sacrifice, and faith,” Mufti told KNS. “While wealthy Muslim nations remained silent, Iran’s dignity and determination forced even global powers like the U.S. to rethink their positions.”

She criticized the lack of active support from many Muslim countries, including Pakistan, calling their response “unfortunate.” Despite being a nuclear power, she said, Pakistan did not play a helpful role. In contrast, she praised Russia and China for standing by Iran during difficult times.

Mufti added that the global shift, including reports of the U.S. urging Qatar to mediate a ceasefire with Israel, shows how Iran’s position has strengthened on the world stage—without needing nuclear weapons.(KNS)
