Balwant Singh Mankotia resigns from Panthers party

Jammu, Feb 10: In a big political development that shook the Panthers Party, a two time legislator Balwant Singh Mankotia has resigned from the basic membership of one of the oldest political party of Jammu and Kashmir.

Mankotia, a resident of Udhampur, had made his entry in the J&K legislative assembly twice and was presently president of the Panthers party.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mankotia took to social media site Facebook and uploaded a video, announcing resignation from the party.

“I am doing this in personal capacity. I resign from all the chairs as well as membership of the party,” he said.

A veteran political leader of Jammu province, Mankotia also appealed Panthers party patron Bhim Singh to let party chairman Harsh Dev Singh to carry forth all the tasks of the party as he is capable to do so—(KNO)
